So your reading my blog, whether you are new or a follower or just appear here at random you must be wondering who I am by now. Well that is an easy question to answer.
I was born in Richlands Virginia raised there till I was 8 years of age then I moved to Levittown Pennsylvania where I lived till I was 19 years of age. I had high expectations of moving to Hollywood California but my money at that time only allowed me to get to Philadelphia Pennsylvania where I have been living since I was 19. I met and married the love of my life at the age of 20 and started a family.
I am a very big lover of animals would have a house full if the law and my property space allowed it but sad reality is I don’t and cant. I currently have 2 dogs, 2 cats and 7 of the 15 hamsters I rescued from a parking lot of the local Petsmart. I am avid book reader, I am an avid writer whether it be for my journal, personal poetry or now for my blog. I have always loved to write and had a deep connection with my writing. For me writing is and always has been a form of therapy for me. When life seemed like it was giving me rotten apples my escape was with a pen and paper.
I started keeping a diary at the age of 8 until I was 20 and yes I still have every one of them even down to the first piece of chewing gum I was given by my childhood best friend. Today, I am a mother a friend a wife and an honest loving individual, I am overly sympathetic and can empathize with everyone on almost every level, I know a lot about technology, I love to take pictures, I love to learn new things, my brain is the sponge of my life, I am always willing to learn something new.
I have a passion aside from writing that consists of arts and crafts, sewing, social networking, watching movies, I enjoy the Summertime and Spring out of the four seasons the most, because I love to garden and have discovered I can grow anything even if it is dead. I love to bake and hope to open my own coffee / cupcake shop. I volunteer my time a lot my most recent experience was building a playground.
I am a people person, also known as the social butterfly, my children and my husband tell me I am so super smart because I can figure out anything, I am also good with a hammer and love to help do renovations with my husband. I love-making friends and I always give the benefit of the doubt. Did I mention I am a Gemini? I am true to my sign but I say I am the good twin, I love to give advice and I think its okay to make the same mistake twice, only because the intended lesson to be learned was not learned the first time. I am devoted to my family especially my children and in my eyes there is nothing they can’t do if they set their minds to it.
I believe if you really desire something in life, you can have it. I have learned that my dreams are an ultimate extension of what I want in life and will not stop till I accomplish it. I love music, I love the sun on my face and the wind in my hair, I love the feel of my children’s hands wrapped around my waist giving me hugs and the feel of my kitty cats rubbing around my ankles. Speaking of ankles, I like mine and wear heels as often as I can.
I am the nurturer in my house, I bandage the boo boos, I am the informational the reporter, I have the memory of an elephant and can remember everything, I have memories that shock my mother when I tell her about them. I survived a childhood nightmare and make the best of life everyday, I am grateful for my life even when it is lemonade sometimes. I am respectful of others I get defensive when I feel attacked. If I wrote a book on my life it would sure turn into a movie because the things I survived. I am an extreme fan of Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn, I try to steer clear from the so-called memoirs of Marilyn because a lot of them are filled with lies. Speaking of liars I despise them, and lying to me will cause a major trust issue, that is why my children or hubby do not do it. Not to mentions I love vintage items clothes, furniture, the hairstyles even the makeup. In my past life I could have been a pin-up girl due to my true love for those eras.
I think I pretty much covered my about me section and I have discovered in this life it’s not what you know, it’s who you know and I just sit and await that one opportunity that is on my list of dreams to fulfill. I am a go getter and hard worker I have even been referred to as a machine because I work so hard. I think I shared an awful lot if you want to know more just let me know…
